University Ambassadors are student leaders who exemplify UIC. Greeting, helping direct, and/or simply mingling, the University Ambassadors serve campus as representatives at high profile university events. These students gain valuable leadership and specialized life skills through various professional development and hands on opportunities. University Ambassadors are a great link between the university, guests and the greater community. Serving as a University Ambassador is considered one of the highest honors while being a student at UIC.

Service Leaders are dedicated students who meet monthly, volunteer frequently, and help with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service and the Annual UIC Day of Service. Additionally, leaders assist with both Speaking of Service discussions and Get Involved in Volunteer Experiences events. Specific group training opportunities and meetings take place regularly as well. All students, be first-year, senior, or graduate/professional, are encouraged to be Service Leaders. Being a service leader allows students to: act as an ambassador for service across campus; make connections with community organizations; gain invaluable leadership experience; learn more about UIC and higher education; attend professional development opportunities; and meet other students with an interest in service.
